Oct 04, 2022

With the instant decline in coronavirus cases, India is now fast recovering from the shock that has been induced by the second wave of coronavirus. The dip might have come as a relief but it has rung the alarm bells of another covid wave, which can be more severe.

Many medical experts and professionals have signalled the people that the third wave can be more severe than the current one and can majorly affect young and children.

  1. Pay attention to personal hygiene.

Yes, we are aware that you have heard all this a million times already. There are a lot of things that you might not know about this virus, but what you know is that it spreads through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes. You must take care of Hand hygiene because it is the best weapon in any fight between human and contagious disease.

Wash your hands properly, use a sanitiser and keep your area clean.

  1. Practice “social distancing.”

You must have heard about keeping your distance from other people. It is usually used to describe public health measures that are imposed by local governments such as quarantining the sick, closing schools, and cancelling public gatherings. And, when it is followed early during a pandemic illness, it’s been shown to save the lives of people.

You must keep your distance, make your meetings virtual or postpone meetings entirely.

Moreover, you shouldn't hug or shake hands. If you are meeting someone in person, you should stay at least six feet apart and find an alternative greeting.

  1. Wear a mask.

Cover your nose and mouth in public settings where it might be difficult to maintain social distancing like grocery stores. This should be followed because infected people are most contagious during the 72 hours before they develop symptoms.

If you block a significant amount of respiratory secretions, your mask is thought to protect others, and their masks protect you from the infection.

  1. Keep surfaces clean.

Even though the virus primarily spread from person to person, it is theoretically possible to contract coronavirus by touching a contaminated surface and then touching any part of your face. In any case, you should know that virus is susceptible to disinfectants.

You should be physically active for 30 minutes for almost four days of the week. During this period you may include walking, sports, dancing, yoga, running or any other activities you enjoy.

You must have a well-balanced, low-fat diet with various fruits, vegetables and whole grains. If you eat clean, you will think clean.
